Scooter Fun

Aidan had a great birthday this year.  Awesome party with all his friends at "Jumping Joey's" in Atascocita last Saturday.  He said, "Best party ever Dad."  Lots of friends, pizza, and fun jumping on all the inflatables.

Then on Tuesday (his actual birthday) we went out to eat after work to our favorite place to chow down:  Chuy's Mexican.  Aidan got a new shirt from Chuy's that says, "Hungry Hungry Chippos!"  After eating we went to Toys R Us.  Aidan had a couple of gift cards to spend and we let him pick whatever he wanted as our gift to him.

He chose a red scooter, a remote controlled tarantula, a book and 2 stuffed animals.  When we got back from the store he wanted to take the scooter out.  It was getting dark, but he had a great time.  We'll probably have to get back out this weekend and let him have some more adventures on it.

Tomorrow is Halloween, but we start the day with a soccer game at 11, then his soccer buddy's birthday party in Huffman and then home to trick or treat!

Soccer Pictures from 10/17/09

Aidan's team played great on Saturday.  They also had picture day.  We have practiced on Sunday and Monday and he is getting better.  I am very sad that I'll have to miss the game on Saturday because I have to do an AVID tutor training.  But, Norma will take lots of pictures for me.  It'll be the only game I miss this season.

Have a Great Weekend

Fall has finally come to Houston, Texas. We have just incredible weather in store for us this weekend. Today's high in Houston was 77 and over the weekend should be 75 with only 50% humidity. Amazing weather for us. It was just close to 100 a week ago and I have been so sick of the heat and humidity. A much needed reprieve.

The picture above is from dinner tonight.  We ate at Sharky's in King's Harbor.  Just a beautiful afternoon.  Great food.  Then we went over to the bookstore across the street and got Aidan a couple of books.  I bought a History of Houston book, which looks interesting.  I'm sure I'll read it over one of the breaks coming up.  I would love to include local history into my World History class sometime.

Tomorrow morning is Aidan's soccer game.  Then we might try to go to the AHS football game.  We have only lost one game this year.  The team is doing so great.

AHS Carnival

Norma and Aidan went to the AHS Carnival yesterday.  It was supposed to happen during Homecoming weekend, but it rained.  So this weekend was the makeup. 

I was not able to go.  I spent most of the day in bed with what I can only describe as a migraine of sorts. I just wasn't feeling well at all.

Anyway, Aidan had a great time at the carnival.  I wish I was there to see it.  Norma took some pictures of him up on the camel ride.  She said he loved it.
