Scooter Fun

Aidan had a great birthday this year.  Awesome party with all his friends at "Jumping Joey's" in Atascocita last Saturday.  He said, "Best party ever Dad."  Lots of friends, pizza, and fun jumping on all the inflatables.

Then on Tuesday (his actual birthday) we went out to eat after work to our favorite place to chow down:  Chuy's Mexican.  Aidan got a new shirt from Chuy's that says, "Hungry Hungry Chippos!"  After eating we went to Toys R Us.  Aidan had a couple of gift cards to spend and we let him pick whatever he wanted as our gift to him.

He chose a red scooter, a remote controlled tarantula, a book and 2 stuffed animals.  When we got back from the store he wanted to take the scooter out.  It was getting dark, but he had a great time.  We'll probably have to get back out this weekend and let him have some more adventures on it.

Tomorrow is Halloween, but we start the day with a soccer game at 11, then his soccer buddy's birthday party in Huffman and then home to trick or treat!

Saturday - AVID Tutor Training from 7am-5pm
Sunday - Aidan's Party (And a BIG Texans Win over 49ers!)

On to work tomorrow where I can relax.  :)

Happy B'Day Mary Kate

Happy Birthday Mary Kate. We are so glad we had a chance to spend time with you this summer. I think that's what Aidan was trying to say.

A Great Three Eight

Today was the beginning of year 38 in my life. It was a good day.

Norma left work early (she has 7th period off) and ran and picked up Aidan to bring him back to work. With just a couple of minutes left in 7th period, they knocked at my classroom door. In walked Aidan with balloons and "Happy Birt-day Daddy!"

It was quite a nice surprise! I never expected that. My students in 7th period were pretty surprised as well.

We went to Target for some shopping and bought a tiramisu cake. It was delicious and always goes great with a cup of coffee. Norma took good care of me today. I am a happy old man. :)

I have the best wife and son anyone could ask for.

T-Rex Love

T-Rex From Grandma Fran

Aidan loved his T-Rex that he got in the mail today from Grandma Fran. He played with it for hours. Fed it. Chased mom and dad with it. He loves scary stuff like this.

Norma said, "looks like the T-Rex beat out Tickle Me Elmo Extreme!" She was a little upset because she thought he would love Elmo. He does, but Elmo doesn't growl, his eyes don't grow red and he doesn't have a long pointy tail.

Aidan is such a boy!

The Elmo is neat though and he does chuckle at him. As he gets older and understands that he can tickle him, he might enjoy Elmo more.

He also loved his dinosaurs from Aunt Aimee and the magic writer from Uncle Terry & Aunt Sue. That is pretty neat. He'll grow into that one also. He's already taken the shapes of it and put them back in by himself.

This kid is beginning to think every day is his birthday! He's so spoiled.

Aidan has been having a really great time with Grandma Karen and Aunt Melanie this weekend. We have done lots of great things... it is late so I wanted to post a few pictures. I will write more later.

Happy Birthday Momma

Aidan enjoyed his mother's birthday almost as much as his mother's cake. It was a good day. We had Mexican chicken fajitas from Norma's favorite place. Later we had cake. There were only three candles... hmmm, maybe each represented at least 10 years? We'll have to look into that one.

I am a VERY lucky man. My wife is an amazing woman. We share so much together. Our beautiful son (soon to be 2 years-old himself on the 27th), our jobs, and our lives. We are best friends and there isn't anyone I'd rather spend my time with on earth.

Does it get any better than that?
