Miss You Zach.

I really miss Zach. He passed away 3 years ago today. Zach was in my first period class. I'll never forget the last time I saw him... he had the BIGGEST smile on his face. When he was absent, I knew something must be up... because he was always there.
Zach passed because he came into contact with a a bat that had rabies.

Miss you Zach. Your passing taught me to enjoy every day with my students. I always regret not having had a chance to see you grow.

Disgusting: Texas Bills Rape Victims for Rape Kits

It is Mother's Day. A day where we pay tribute to women who do so much for our families and communities. And on Mother's Day, I came across this story. It turned my stomach. This is disgusting and it is embarrassing. Horrible story that better get straightened out soon.

Please, if you live in Texas... write your representative today about this issue:

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to my wonderful mother - Karen. Grandma Karen, Aidan can't wait to see you this summer.

Happy Mother's Day to my wonderful other mother - Fran. Grandma Fran, Aidan can't wait to see you this summer either.

I am lucky to have two wonderful mother's in my life and Aidan is VERY lucky to have two wonderful Grandmas.

Aidan is also very lucky to have the VERY BEST Mom in the world.

Norma is wearing her new Chuy's Mexican Restaurant T-Shirt. "Tacky yet Refried." Probably sums up Chuys perfectly. :) We went there on Friday afternoon to celebrate the beginning of Mother's Day weekend. It is Norma's favorite. And quickly becoming our favorite place to go as a family.

Yesterday Aidan and I went shopping and bought Mom some gifts, flowers and cupcakes. Today we are going out to lunch and then will go out for ice cream later on tonight.

Hopefully Aidan's Mom will have a great day. She is the best.

Crazy Pics of Aidan

These are all pictures from this week. He is getting big.

Friday was "Wear Pajamas to Preschool Day" so Aidan wore Batman. He also dressed up as Iron Man this week, too.

This morning we did some cleaning and that's him taking a rest against the couch in the den. Crazy boy.

pj day! go batman.

Doris Kearns Goodwin

If I could have dinner with anyone in America, it just might be Doris Kearns Goodwin and Jon Stewart. It would be fantastic to discuss life, politics, and Presidential history with them both. Doris is like an encyclopedia and Jon is like a court jester (with a great intellect). I really need to read her book, "Team of Rivals."
